Crossfire Gaming Club recently had the pleasure of visiting the Kilsyth Scouts for an evening of tabletop gaming, bringing along six dedicated volunteers to introduce the group to a variety of games and hobby activities.
Across the session, around 20 Scouts got involved, trying their hand at a mix of systems including Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Blood Bowl, and Space Gitz. With multiple tables running at once, there was a real buzz in the room as the Scouts rotated between games, learned the basics, and got stuck into the action.

For many, it was their first experience with tabletop wargaming, and it didn’t take long before dice were rolling, miniatures were clashing, and plenty of laughs were shared. Whether it was commanding futuristic armies, leading fantasy battles, or enjoying the more light-hearted chaos of Blood Bowl and Space Gitz, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
To help the Scouts continue their journey into the hobby, Crossfire Gaming Club also gifted Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar starter sets to the group. This should give them everything they need to keep playing, building, and painting together going forward.
A huge thank you to the Kilsyth Scouts for having us along and for bringing such great energy to the night. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, and we hope this is just the beginning of their tabletop gaming adventures.
