In order to celebrate the upcoming Space Gits campaign and last Thursday’s Gitbashing night, we are happy to announce our first ever kitbashing competition!
There’s plenty of amazing hobby talent at Crossfire, so it’s time to put your skills to the test
and showcase your wonderful kitbashes, conversions and creations. There will be prizes and
trophies up for grabs!
So whether you are looking to make a unique Hero for your army, a cool Monster/Vehicle or maybe build a warband for Chris’ upcoming Thrackdown campaign, this is a great opportunity to do so!
How the competition will work
If you fancy joining the competition and showcasing your talents, then here’s how the it will
work:
- Plan out a fantastic kitbash or conversion idea for a tabletop wargaming model of your choice. The cooler the kitbash – the better!
- Take some pictures of the model/kit before you start bashing. In order to level the playing field, we’d like to make sure everyone starts from scratch!
- Upload your progress pics and updates to the new kitbash-competition channel that will be appearing soon on the club’s Discord channel.
- Once finished, simply indicate to the committee that your submission is done in the same channel.
How will the competition be judged?
Once we reach the deadline, the committee will collectively decide who we feel has shown the most ambition, created the coolest kitbash and is worthy of a prize!
There will be 3 separate categories for the competition:
- Vehicle/Monster
- Individual Character
- Infantry
*take note that this is not a painting competition, so painting won’t be taken into account for this competition. Bare plastic is absolutely fine!
How long will the competition run for?
Following on from last Thursday’s Space Gits’ Gitbashing night, we will run the competition for 4 weeks. The final deadline for entries will be Thursday 26th of March.
