Welcome to the AoS Escalation League!
From Wastrel to Warlord
Kick Off Date
Our Age of Sigmar Escalation League will kick off on Thursday the 18th of April and is designed to take players from first throws of the sigmar dice with a small force to a capable warlord with a full 2000 point army.
What do you need to Join in?
A small force from one of the sigmar factions, your up to date army rules, some dice and a tape measure.
The Trials
April 18th – Initiation
Goal: Start with roughly 750pt maximum force (roughly a vanguard box), 1 colour (can just be primer), and 1 fully painted test model for the faction. Must have at least 1 battleline unit & 1 hero as warlord. No single model can be more than 50% of your list
June 6th – First Trial
Goal: 1200 point maximum force. 2 colours on all models. 1 unit fully painted and based. Must have at least 1 battleline unit and 1 hero as warlord. No single model can be more than 50% of your list
August 1st – Second Trial
Goal: 1500 point maximum force. 3 Colours on all models. 2 Units fully painted and based. Force must have at least 2 battleline units and at least 1 Hero as warlord. No single model can be more than 50% of your list
October 3rd – Third Trial
Goal: 2000 points force. All models fully painted and based. Force must have at least 3 battleline units and 1 hero as warlord. Maximum 4 behemoths.
October 31st – Achievement Ceremony
The league is intended to be very laid back and chilled, where you all get to explore and learn the game together with likeminded people, all chasing the end result of having a fully painted army at the end that they know how to use on the tabletop and be proud of.
Ruleset & 4th Edition Launch
The new edition of Age of Sigmar is due to launch in summer 2024 and will bring with it a host of changes. We are really looking forward to the refresh the new edition will bring but in the meantime we will be using the latest Generals Handbook ruleset to frame the league around.
What we have seen teased by Games Workshop of the new edition looks very exciting and we intend to implement the new edition in the league as it releases. By then we will all be much more fluent with the game so working with the rules shifts of the new edition will be much easier for all of us.

Games will be scored using the Matched Play rules from the latest Generals Handbook
League Points
You will score points in the league for completing the outcomes below

Missions
For Initiation and 1st Trial stages, customised simpler missions will be posted on the website under the AoS escalation league section (coming soon). In trials 2 and above missions will be played from the generals handbook or any new missions issued on launch of 4th Edition as required.
