A Song of Ice & Fire at Crossfire
We’ve recently had an increase of people playing Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice & Fire miniatures game by CMON at the club. This is great to see and the club is always happy to support growing interest in any system if we think it’ll benefit the players and help potentially grow it.
As such, the club has picked up it’s first specific gaming mat for the game created, these mats are designed by Hits and Crits and include integrated tactical board to track all the off-battlefield manoeuvres that happen during a game. To go with this, we have also picked up the neoprene terrain and barrier sets.
What is A Song of Ice & Fire?
Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice & Fire is a rank & file miniatures game, where armies and heroes from the popular books and that appear in the TV shows from different houses battle it out on the tabletop. Great if you want to field the Lannisters, Starks, Night’s Watch on the table, or indeed any other faction that calls to you.
Starter Set Available at the Club to Try Out
We previously picked up the starter set for the game. As you are all aware, we like to make sure our starter sets offer a great first experience. As such, and due to the committee already being pretty busy, we had the miniatures commission painted by Rich at Whitewash Studio. Who done a fantastic job painted them up to a Crossfire standard! They look even better in person!
Arranging an Intro Game
After Craig & Moosie at the club tried out the game for the first time, they quickly jumped in, picked up their own armies and have been championing the game system. If you fancy getting involved or arranging an intro game give a shout out on our Game of Thrones Channel in Discord.

The club’s Fabricator General, Lord of the Forge and all-round heretic 🙂
