We’re aware that the lack of table numbers has made it slightly difficult to know where to go since we made the decision to stop assigning numbers to tables to help cut down on some of the admin.
It was one of the most requested features from our Feedback Survey, especially for new players and folks playing a game vs someone new. It’s also been a good way for folks to slyly learn names 😉
While we aren’t going to go and number the tables ourselves each night, as it can be a pain on the occasions we need to put tables up/down or if folks have already unpacked their stuff. We did come up with a solution to help make it easier.
When you Come in Grab your Table Number
Simple as that, we’ll leave numbered cards with big numbers by the self-service kiosk. When you arrive, grab your table number (assuming your the first one in) and plonk it down on a table. If your number isn’t at the kiosk, it’s already on a table, either put there by the committee (to reserve a specific table) or by your opponent.
This allows us to keep things flowing smoothly, without folks hanging around waiting on us to put down table numbers. It also allows people to request specific tables (island tables for multiplayer games, quieter tables not in the middle of everything etc).
Please remember to return the numbers at the end of the evening.
Tabletop Together
While we are running our Tabletop Together Initiative, we will be reserving the same 2 tables closest to the storage cupboard each evening. We would ask that folks leave these if they are there early or get in touch with the committee if you’d like to swap them for one night
