What is Carronade?

Carronade is a wargaming convention held in Falkirk and hosted by the Falkirk District Wargames Club.

Crossfire Gaming Club will be running a participation game at the event, which we are calling Bounty Hunter Brawl. If your going along, do drop past and say hi, maybe even have a pop at our participation game. We’re also happy to have a few volunteers help us out on the day.

The convention is on Saturday, the 4th of May from 10am to 4pm.

What Does Carronade Involve?

Thee will be lots to see and do, including:

• Taking part in participation games from different clubs & groups
• Lots of traders (over 30 listed so far)
• Flea Market, where you can get some great deals on wargames stuff, board games etc

Parking

Unfortunately there isn’t a lot of parking at the school and any spaces are likely not to stay empty for long, if it’s anything like the last few years it’ll be very busy. Visitors are advised to use the nearby Callendar Business Park, which is just across the road.

Ticket Price

The cost of entry for Carronade are:

• £5 on the door
• £3 Concessions/Kids
• £7 Family Ticket (2 Adults & 2 Kids)

Last year there wasn’t the ability to take contactless payments on the door, the same with a lot of the flea market sellers, so we’d advise bringing some old fashioned cash. Although we’re told that the FDWC may try and sort that for this year.

Update: We’ve had it confirmed by the guys running Carronade that they are having difficulty with their card machines, so have asked that anyone attending brings cash to pay for entry
