Act 1: Fires of Treachery Wrap Up

[BEGIN VOX TRANSMISSION – ORIGIN UNKNOWN]

crackle-pop …contact at sector twelve… thought they were reinforcements… golden armour… shining in the ash.

We cheered them in… opened the gates… ssshhhhkrrrt …then the guns… the guns turned on us.

Brothers cut down… like wheat before the scythe… no warning, no mercy. Those weren’t… Custodes I knew.

pop-hiss …their eyes… empty. Like masks. Shadows in gold.

If anyone hears this… trust no banners. Trust no oaths. Even the Emperor’s guard… might already be theirs.

ssshhhkrrt …end…

[TRANSMISSION TERMINATED]

Act 1 Wrapped Up

With the Cumbernauld Village Hall being closed on Monday, it means we have now wrapped up Act 1 of our Fires of Treachery. I can also reveal that 24 RP were spent in total on Betrayal, Shield and Counter-strike Requisitions.

Act 2 is due to start on Thursday the 2nd of October. At the end of Act 1, this is how things stand.

The Shadow Revealed

Act I closes under a pall of unease. Whispers that had haunted the campaign since its opening days have finally given way to revelation: a member of the Shadow Alliance has been unmasked!

Yet this unveiling brings no clarity. If anything, it has deepened the mystery. Their motives remain obscured, their true strength hidden, and their reach seemingly without limit. What is clear is their growing boldness. In the chaos of battle they have stripped land from both Da Dread Mob in the Silent Dockyards and the Aquilae Liberatii within the Tomb of Umberto II, carving out their own footholds where none expected them.

The Tomb of Umberto II

Once considered a fortress of the faithful, the Tomb is now a crucible of shifting power. The Crimson Pack stand ascendant, their banners claiming the largest share of the mausoleum’s shadowed halls. The Seduced Panoply press close behind, their sorcery and stratagems bleeding deeper into the sepulchre’s catacombs. Aquilae Liberatii, weakened after losing ground to the Shadow Alliance, find themselves reduced to the smallest stake in the surrounding districts.

The Mire of Saint Veyra

Where others see only filth and decay, the Bug King’s Alliance alone has pressed their claim. Their forces remain unchallenged in the corpse-choked swamps, no rival banners rising against them. The Mire festers in silence, but whether that silence is opportunity or omen remains to be seen.

Hive Mordigan, the Black Sepulchre

The battle for Mordigan rages with unrelenting fury, its labyrinthine crypts contested by three determined powers. The Shadow Alliance lead the struggle with 33% control, their influence spreading in ways that defy easy explanation. Close behind, the Shattered Veil Pact carve their share with disciplined assaults and relentless pressure, rising to 25%. The Bug King’s Alliance holds 13%, their foothold stubborn in the face of overwhelming fire. The dead hive has become a three-way battlefield, and its halls echo with betrayal and ruin.

The Silent Dockyards

Once silent, now aflame with war. Da Dread Mob continue to thunder through the skeletal gantries, their claim swelling to 42%. Aquilae Liberatii too have gained ground, pushing to 15% as they rally to secure a foothold among the rusted cranes and voidship husks. Yet beneath the noise of clashing armies, the Shadow Alliance has quietly extended its grasp, threading its influence through the Dockyards’ fractured heart.

Benefits At End of Act 1

Each of the following alliances have managed to achieve over 25% control of a location and as such, players from each of the alliances are awarded the following:

  • Shattered Veil – 1 RP
  • Da Dread Mob – 1 RP
  • Shadow Alliance – 1 RP

Make sure to add an extra RP if your in one of these (or just keep track of it if you are in the Shadow Alliance).

Blood Challenges

We are introducing a new game system in the form of colosseum challenges, more information will be coming out about this shortly.
