Whether you’re a seasoned painter or just starting out, this competition is a celebration of creativity and skill in the Crossfire community!
Some of the earlier Crossfire members might remember the painting competition we ran in 2023. Your winner was Conail with his incredible custom Death Guard Plague Marine:

Equal parts awe-inspiring and revolting in the best possible way! Now it’s your turn….

Categories:
- Single Miniature
- This category is for those who want to showcase their best painting skills on a single figure. It is for anything from a lonely Grot all the way up to Roboute Guilliman or a Daemon Prince of Chaos! Anything bigger should be considered for the large miniature category below.
- Squad (Group of Miniatures)
- This category is for units of miniatures , for example: Kill Team, Warcry Warband, Blood Bowl team or a squad of peasant archers. This includes miniatures on foot, jetbikes, small vehicles like bikers etc provided it is two or more models.
- Large Miniature / Vehicle
- This category covers any large monsters, titans, vehicles, mechs and anything that requires painting at a grand scale. It’s a great opportunity to show off your skill in painting large, intricate models!
- Aspiring Champion Category
- This category is aimed for the newer painters as well as less experienced painters who feel they may not (yet!) have the technical skills of more experienced painters but still want to showcase their creativity. Here it’s all about creative paint schemes, awesome kitbashes, great poses and epic bases bringing it all together. Whether you are new to painting or still refining your skills, this is the place for you!
- The judging for this category will focus more on creativity and the effort we feel has been put into the submission, rather than any technical painting skills or techniques to help level the playing field. As an example, an awesome kitbash and pose on a themed base would win out over a space marine that has been wet-blended and edge highlighted for hours on end. Note, a good paint job will still get you some good favour, so make sure you give it 100%.
- For this category we’ll keep submissions open to anything from the above categories. (Single, Squad or Large).
Any doubts on what category a miniature should go in just message Stephen (@Some_Friend) on Discord.
