Greetings Sports Fans!
Greetings Sports Fans! From within the stone walls of their high ceilinged hall, the shadowy syndicate that is the Crossfire Committee has decided that it’s high time for a new venture that will help launder their gold… ahem.. sorry… that will help entertain the masses at very reasonable prices!
Sponsors are being lined up as we speak and all we need now is confirmation of the teams that will be descending on the Wynd to maim, gouge, stamp and score on each other!
Given the gold and glory to be had for enterprising outfits that take to the pitch, we’re hoping for a good turnout for what could be the inaugural season of a new tradition round these parts!

I’m only sad my weary bones are too old for me and the rest of the Cemetery Greats to get out of retirement and show these youngsters how the game is supposed to be played eh Ripper? What’s your prediction for the season ahead?
Well Doug, make no bones about it – I’m suspecting the lure of the league will bring both experienced outfits and some rookies looking for riches – it’ll make for some fun and bloody watching that’s for sure!
I certainly hope so Ripper, if we get anyone approaching your peak casualty rates we are in for a treat! Spread the word fans and stay tuned for more news on the league opening ceremony as it approaches.
It’s back to your regular Cabal TV schedule for now. I’m Doug Grave, and this… IS BLOOD BOWL!
Get Ready for Blood Bowl at Crossfire Gaming Club!
Blood Bowl is the game of ultra-violent sports mayhem, where you take on the role of coach for a motley team of players battling for gridiron supremacy.
In the coming weeks we will be starting a beginner league for coaches of all skill levels to take to the pitch and have some fun!
If you haven’t played before and want to try it out before the league starts, you can check out the rules via the official “Learn to play” video series and we will be more than happy to run some introductory games if you just let us know in the Club Discord.

What do you need to do?
To take part all you need to do is choose a team and get some models!
Not sure what team to play? There are handy team overviews at bbtactics.com and the Bonehead podcast has a great overview too.
3D prints and proxies are welcome but all models that share a position should be clearly identifiable and all your players should be numbered to make it easy to identify them on your roster and keep track of those touchdowns!
The league will likely be run using tourplay.net to help us with the administration, but more information will be made available as we approach kick off.
Games are likely to be around 90 to 120 minutes long and we’d hope to see coaches play a couple of games per month to complete a full season of 6 to 8 games.
Anything else?
Not really! The club have a number of pitches and dice sets (Block dice, D6, D8, D16) but you are welcome to supply your own. There are also a few others bits and pieces you could get hold of, particularly something like loom bands or markers to signify specific skills on your players once they start gaining XP.
What’s next?
Watch this space for more information and to sign up when the time comes.
The plan is to kick off on the end of May/start of June which gives plenty of time for preparation, learning and practice games.

Great at buying models, not so great at finding time to paint them all… at least i have a handy spreadsheet to track my lack of progress!
