Moving to a Different Location for 6 Weeks
As many of you are well aware we have been bating our heads against the wall trying to convince North Lanarkshire Council to keep the Cumbernauld Village Hall (where we are based), open for the summer. Sadly all of our requests, suggestions and attempts to find a solution have been met with a brick wall and they refuse to budge, meet us half way or make any compromises.
We are continually told that the venue is closed during term-time (from June 24th – August 15th). Therefore, we have been forced to move location during this time.
We’ll be Based in Greenfaulds from June 29th – 10th Aug
The Address is: Lochinvar Rd, Cumbernauld, Glasgow G67 4AR
Over term time we have had to book both halls in the Greenfaulds Community Centre so that we have enough space. Even combined this will still be a smaller space than we are used to, while costing us more.
Even so, the main hall, pictured below and the smaller hall should hopefully be enough for us. It might be a little bit of a squeeze but am sure we’ll be fine.
At least it’s only for 6 weeks! And a smaller location is better than not having anywhere to meet up and play.
